First, where the app actually stands.
AI-built apps tend to look finished before they are. I go through the codebase, the infrastructure, and how the team ships, and I write down what holds, what will break, and in what order to fix it.
Will it carry the load?
Structure, data model, the parts the agent took the easy way on, and what happens at ten times today's traffic.
Is it safe to put customers on?
Access control, secrets, PHI and PII handling, backups, and the things that break at the worst possible moment.
Can the team keep shipping?
How changes get made, reviewed, tested, and released. Whether the next feature makes the app better or more fragile.
You leave with a written readiness report and a prioritized plan. Fixed bid, scoped on the first call.
Then the plan to the next stage.
The next stage decides the depth. Raising, getting acquired, signing a regulated customer, or passing a security review each ask different questions of the same app.
- Diligence, both sides of the table. Getting reviewed? I get your engineering and your answers ready. Reviewing a target? I go through their codebase under NDA and report to you before the wire goes out.
- HIPAA, SOC 2, or a customer's security review. I get you ready and work alongside the licensed firm.
- Production hardening. Monitoring, backups, incident response, SLAs: the parts most AI-built apps skip, planned before they are needed.
